It’s been ages since my last post here on weebly! Been busy with other stuffs so I wasn’t able to update this blog, no matter how much I want, and love to. Anyway, I have all the time in the world again so, I’m back! I have tons of wanderlust escapades and gastronomic adventures to share, but I have to finish first my entire food trip experience in Ilocos last October 2013. :)
Ilocos Food Trip Series Part 2:
Cafe Uno
One of the best things about travelling is to experience and taste a wide variety of food and local cuisines in the place you are visiting. Aside from empanada, Vigan offers a lot of mouth-watering authentic dishes to satisfy your adventurous palate.
As we stroll along the historical Calle Crisologo, my sister and I decided to have our dinner at Cafe Uno, one of the closest cafes to the main cobblestone street.

Most of the time, food quality and taste are directly proportional to the price. Thinking that this place is located in a well-known tourist spot, everybody will think that good food costs a fortune. Surprisingly, in this cafe, you can have quality and quantity of food without digging too deep into your pockets.
Sorry I can't remember all the names and price of these dishes that we've tried. The only dish I remember is the Poqui-poqui on the upper right side (how could I ever forget hahaha). I'm pretty sure we paid less than 500 php for all of these. Good deal, isn't it?
Make sure to drop by when you go there. It is located inside Grandpa's Inn, where you can stay if you're planning to spend a night in Vigan. If you're into gastronomic experience, might as well try Cafe Uno's sister-restos, Kusina Felecitas and Uno Grille. :)
